Welcome!
Put down that diaper bag, step away from the laundry pile, and take a time-out from motherhood - just for a moment. Pour yourself a cold glass of iced tea and let me share your load through tips to simplify the small stuff so you can re-discover the simple joy of being a mom!
I hope you’ll find this web site a place where you can feel right at home; take a few minutes and browse the pages. You’ll find joy and hope, faith and friendship, and some great ideas on how to simplify and survive motherhood.
Motherhood is quite an adventure, one without a map or a compass for that matter. (No wonder I feel lost most of the time!) In fact, motherhood brings me to the brink of laughter and the summit of tears, usually on a daily basis.
Over the last twelve years, my husband and I have faced the daily challenges of raising our own four rambunctious kids, and we have seen it all - from diapers to pre-teens, and everywhere in between.
But I have discovered some great ways to simplify the small stuff like discipline, chores, and dinner. And I want to share my ideas with you!
If you’re looking for ways to reclaim dinner times, check out my book, The Great American Supper Swap, and learn how moms all across the country are saving stress, time, and money through supper swapping.
If you have a new baby, don’t miss my upcoming book, Rattled. This humorous, advice-packed survival guide is guaranteed to help you keep your cool during your baby’s first year.
Every mom loves free stuff, so on my Free Stuff for Moms page I’ve included downloadable lunch box notes, chore charts, and even an exclusive chance to take part in Supernanny. And I give away a free book every week to someone who’s posted a comment on my motherhood, tip of the week, and book of the week blogs. Stop by and leave me a note! You could be the next winner.
You’ll find audio and video clips, and lots more tips for simplifying motherhood on this site, too, so be sure to stay awhile. I look forward to sharing the journey with you!
